Temple Open House and Spike

Hello FAMILY and FRIENDS!

Greetings from SAN TAN VALLEY!

I hope the weather in Utah is warming up because it's warming up here. It was 80 degrees last week. Perfect weather for the Temple Open House. The Gilbert Temple Open House is receiving so much positive feedback from the community and nonmembers. Everyone loves it!

Sister missionaries work at the Temple 2 days out of the week and since its a non proselyting event we are not allowed to go up to people and initiate a conversation but a lot of people have questions so they come up to us.
For example, I've had questions about the mirrors in the ceiling room, why we do baptisms for the dead, and who actually gets to sit in the Celestial Room. Many people are very surprised when we say that any worthy member is allowed to enter the Temple and sit in the Celestial Room. One lady even said, "So that room isn't for your prophet? It's for everyone?" Yes Ma'm. Anyone is welcome into the temple as long as they have a Current Temple Recommend. The Gospel is amazing and what a great missionary experience it is for the members of this area to have such a beautiful temple.

So just a forewarning. I will be getting married in the Gilbert Temple, so family and friends there will be a little bit of a road trip down here. :)

We found 3 new investigators this week, and we're super excited about them. Irving is a 20 year old artist and loves asking questions. He has so many questions we struggle to keep up with him. I have a feeling that he just likes talking to us because we're pretty but like our ward mission Leader
says "Flirt to Convert". And it seems to be working.

Also we met Mark twice this last week, he likes to go walking everyday and so do we. So we invited him to the open House and then we actually tracted into his wife (Nancy) the next day. She said they had made their reservations for the Temple Open House and couldn't wait to go. She even came outside and gave us hugs. Then the Sisters we live with were at the Temple the day Nancy and Mark went to the Temple. Nancy and Mark told them that they had a great experience and couldn't wait to tell their missionaries about it. YAY!!
Funny story, we also met a tortoise named Spike. He's awesome! And he likes to eat apples. He also likes to ram right into and run you over. I would know this from experience because that's what he did to me.

I want to leave off with my Testimony-

God answers prayers! I've been praying so hard for new investigators and Heavenly Father sent us people who are willing to listen! Pray to Heavenly Father, He wants to give us blessings but we must have the faith to ask for them and if we are striving to be more like the Savior, we will qualify for those blessings.

Life is good and I hope that everyone knows how much Heavenly Father loves them.
My PDay will be on Wednesday next week because we have a Temple shift on Monday again.

yes we washed the car, in January, in shorts.... its pretty hot here.

LOVE YOU ALL!
